New blog

Do you ever wonder what goes on in a primary school? Well here at Driffield Junior School we are going to tell you just what happens behind the closed doors. At our school we have: a colossal field; a garden which is always delightfully peaceful and a playground to run around on and blow off steam. This blog will tell you all you need to know about life at DJS and keep you up to date with current news and achievements.

Craigie

Wow – a new blog!

6B worked with Mr Henderson yesterday to produce the first proper paragraph to be published on our new blog. The competition was so fierce choosing one winner was too difficult so I think we will publish a couple!

Learning, caring and sharing is the best way to describe Driffield Junior School. Children shooting their hands up and their heads full of bursting ideas in classrooms while teachers smile and struggle to pick on the bursting children. Even the headteacher is great! He helps around school, making sure everyone is doing their best. Huge field; a stupendous playground; a weaving willow maze; a rapid zip-wire and an adventurous timber trail. This is our school – why don’t you follow our blog to see how we are getting on?

Year 6 are looking forward to their Victorian Trip this week. Excellent singing from 6M! Look out for the pictures at the end of the week.

Unfortunately, despite our valiant (and unbeaten!) efforts, we were unable to qualify for the Yorkshire regional finals. Three draws and one impressive 3-0 win over Bilton just wasn’t quite enough. Let’s have a go for the Humberside U11 Cup instead!
